Da Bartali Crew is a dynamic live band, adapting themselves to their current environment and interacting with local musicians, singers and rappers wherever they go in the world. Their music is shaped and performed together with the guests on the stage, with a fine light show. They call their musical style Live Electro, which consists of everything from casual ambient listening music to electro house dance music and sometimes playful, circus-like, off-beat rhythms. DBC also play large, atmospheric, ambient pieces that call forth visions of giant waterfalls or the earth from a bird’s-eye view. Their music is colourfully painted with both large brush strokes and fine lines, and the rhythm section seeks anything other than what could be perceived as normal, yet remains in line with human rhythms.

ISÁK has been a hype in Sámi music for a long time, renowned for their energetic live shows and intense presence. Since their debut in 2017 the trio has experienced an overwhelming response in Norway, and now the “sensation from Sápmi” is finally ready to explore the rest of the world. ISÁK are considered to be a natural successor after Mari Boine, who has been known for developing yoik and modernizing Sámi music for decades. With a new and exciting fusion of traditional yoik, urban synths and a text universe that combines both English and Sámi, ISÁK continues to push the limits of Sami music. The trio consists of vocalist Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen, producer Daniel Eriksen and drummer Aleksander Kostopoulos.

Nuka Alice Lund is one of the pioneers in the revitalization of the Inuit drum dancing and singing in Greenland. Not only is she a keeper of songs that she passes along when she teaches, she also creates her own drum songs. She learned drum dancing from Pauline Lumholt in 2009 and that same year she also created the first of her own drum songs. Over the years, she has grown her repertoire and now performs a full set with her own songs and songs she has co-written with others that she interweaves with storytelling. Today she focuses on drum dancing full-time and dedicates this part of her life to performing, creating and teaching drum dance songs in order to keep the tradition of the Greenlandic Inuit drum dancing and singing alive – a tradition which has been inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2021. Nuka Alice teaches Inuit drum dance at Knud Rasmussenip højskolea, the music school Serravik and also as a guest teacher at the National Theatre School of Greenland.

Grammy-nominated artist Sara Ajnnak from Sápmi (Sweden) creates something very personal, the traditional yoik mixed with oriental strings, electronic influences in a contemporary and updated soundscape of the north. Her strength as a performer is the way in which she communicates emotions through her voice. Concerts are described as a journey through time and space. Sara Ajnnak takes a hold of feelings with a wide range of different sounds and moods. Sara writes her lyrics in Ume Sámi language which is one of the endangered Sámi languages. Step by step, Sara has reclaimed her language, and in in her debut album Suojggat she showcases the beauty of the language for her first time.

Aqqalu Berthelsen, also known as Uyarakq, was born in Nuuk, Greenland in the mid-80s. He is a self-taught music producer/composer and DJ with a background in metal music.

Growing up in Uummannaq, Northern Greenland and Nuuk, the capital, has played a large role in shaping him to be a versatile musician between two worlds. He is currently doing a lot of work in the Indigenous circumpolar hip hop and rap scene with a foot in two continents, the North American arctic and the European arctic. He won a Greenlandic Koda Award in 2015 for his solo album Raatiu Nukik (2014) and was nominated for Nordic Councils Music Prize in 2016 for the collaborative work Kunngiitsuuffik (2015) alongside the Greenlandic rapper Peand-eL. He is now living in Inari, Northern Finland/Sápmi.
