An exploratory circus show created by a Swedish company and aimed at an audience eager for unusual discoveries.
A captivating visual and auditory poem! Plast uses natural and artificial materials, suspended bodies and original live music to evoke and explore humanity’s relationship with nature. Sensual, hypnotic and drawing on circus techniques such as the corde lisse, Plast manages to suspend the activity of time. Suspended bodies – sometimes even by the hair – evoke the fragile balance of our world. We are here now, together. Will the balance break? How can we listen to each other?
Hege Eriksdatter Østefjells hails from the south of Norway and had her first experience of circus at age 16 and fell instantly in love. She trained at a local school for one year, before moving to Sweden to attend a circus high school (Gävle Cirkus Gymnasium). From there she continued to the Circus Space in London graduating in 2009. She worked for 2 years in London and abroad as a part of Duo Dupla and before moving to Brussels, Belgium to learn more and broaden her circus horizon. Plast began as a research project for Hege’s M.A.
Karoline Aamås is a rope and hair suspension performing artist. She was educated at DOCH (SE) & AFUK (DK). She resides in Stockholm and has several projects in the performing arts in collaboration with ENT Management. Karoline has worked with Tanter (DK), The Little Mechanical Flea Circus (NO), Cirkus Xanti (NO), Cirko Aero (FI), Cirkus Cirkör (SE) and Frikar (NO), among others.
Love Kjellsson grew up in the hilly landscapes of the apple kingdoms in eastern Scania, Sweden. He studied secrets of the performance arts in the capital of Sweden. Love is a true renaissance man with equal passion for poetry, frogs, flowers, performance art, political dramaturgy and traditional music. He can easily be blown away by the winds of history but spends most of the year travelling with the circus. Love was also taught to play fiddle by his mother.
ENT is a group of artists from all over the Nordic Region (Norway, Sweden, Scania & Sápmi) working with traditional music and contemporary circus. ENT creates performances and organizes touring of them. Leading principles for the productions of ENT is that the performances are internationally tourable, unique and well-developed. Created to make lasting impressions for the audience regardless of their cultural background.
