Information for Travellers
Prior to arrival for travellers
- Harbourfront Centre will follow all the requirements of the Government of Canada as it relates to travel restrictions. To ensure you are in compliance, please follow: travel.gc.ca/travel-covid
- The Government of Canada recently announced that effective April 1, 2022 at 12:01 AM EDT, fully vaccinated travellers will no longer need to provide a pre-entry COVID-19 test result to enter Canada by air, land or water. Fully vaccinated travellers seeking to arrive in Canada before April 1, 2022, must still have a valid pre-entry test.As a reminder, travellers arriving to Canada from any country, who qualify as fully vaccinated, may need to take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival if selected for mandatory random testing. Travellers selected for mandatory random testing are not required to quarantine while awaiting their test result.
- You must use ArriveCAN, which is free to use, to enter your proof of vaccination, quarantine, and travel information up to 72 hours before your travel. If you don’t provide the required information in ArriveCAN before arriving at the border, you will not be considered a fully vaccinated traveller, even if you meet all the other requirements. Register with ArriveCAN.
- Please note that some restaurants/bars and other locations such as salons/spas/healthcare may require you to show proof of full vaccination and/or wear a mask to receive service.

Arriving from another province or territory within Canada
There are currently no restrictions on travel to Ontario from other provinces or territories.
Please note: Proof of double vaccination is required to enter many locations in Ontario such as bars and restaurants.
Arriving by air
Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
Pearson International Airport is Toronto’s major transportation hub. It is about a 30-45 minute drive between downtown and the airport depending on time of day and traffic. There are many taxis and airport limos located at exits (approx. $50-60 for downtown locations). Uber is also popular in Toronto.
UP Express
The UP Express is a dedicated rail-line between Pearson Airport and Union Station (Toronto’s major rail hub) downtown. It is a 25 minute ride between the two, with a couple of stops at stations along the way. It is extremely affordable and a great option for those looking to save time and money in getting downtown. It is a 15 minute walk or a 6 minute drive (if it’s not rush hour) via taxi or Uber between Union Station and Harbourfront Centre.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ)
Located on Toronto Island, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport offers services to more than 20 cities in Canada and the US via Porter Airlines and Air Canada. It is a quick 10 minute drive via taxi or Uber between the ferry dock for the airport and Harbourfront Centre.
Arriving by rail
VIA Rail
VIA Rail is Canada’s passenger rail service. Union Station is Toronto’s major rail hub located at 61 Front Street West, between Bay and York Streets.
It is a 15 minute walk or a 6 minute drive (if it’s not rush hour) via taxi or Uber between Union Station and Harbourfront Centre.

Head southbound on the Yonge-University Line to Union Station then take the 509 streetcar to Harbourfront Centre.
Arriving by car
Underground parking is available on-site at 235 Queens Quay West, or above-ground one block west at Rees Street and Queens Quay West.
Motorists exiting from the new off-ramp MAY make a right turn and travel south on Lower Simcoe Street.
There is NO TURN on Lake Shore Boulevard for travel south on Lower Simcoe Street.
Motorists travelling westbound on Queens Quay West MAY make a left turn at Lower Simcoe Street into our site. Please note the advance left turn signal light.
Motorists travelling EASTBOUND on Queens Quay West MAY NOT make a right turn into our site.
Arriving by bike
Ride the Martin Goodman Trail or take any street between Bathurst and Parliament traveling south to Queens Quay West and bike along the water for the most scenic route. Bike parking is available.
Arriving by foot
Head south down York Street from Union Station. Take a right on Queens Quay West for about two minutes and Harbourfront Centre will be on your left at 235 Queens Quay West. Or The PATH provides a direct route south to Queens Quay West.

Public Transit
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is Toronto’s public transportation system. It consists of subway, bus and streetcar routes.
- Streetcar: be sure to “Tap” the Presto Card once on-board the streetcar (entry from any door)
- Bus: enter through the front doors of the bus, “Tap” card upon entry
- Subway: “Tap” card at subway gates

Bike
Toronto has a fairly extensive bike share network. Similar to BIXI in Montreal, Bike Share Toronto was designed for users to make short trips around the city. Bikes can be picked up at stations throughout the city, and must be returned to any other station in the Bike Share Toronto system within 30 minutes or you will be charged additional fees.
